Technical Program Sessions
The 2006 Conference on Concrete Block Paving has issued a call for abstracts. Abstracts were due no later than February 1, 2006. The following is the final Technical Session Program:
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 6

KEYNOTE ADDRESS -Neil Weinstein, P.E., R.L.A., AICP - Executive Director
Low Impact Development Center, Beltsville, Maryland USA
As one of the leaders in sustainable environmental design, Mr. Weinstein will speak on emerging LID, sustainability initiatives, infrastructure redevelopment, life-cycle assessment and how the interlocking pavement industry is uniquely positioned to benefit from them. He will frame the opportunities for the industry from the user point-of-view. As a project designer, Mr. Weinstein is experienced with permeable interlocking concrete pavements.
Neil Weinstein, P.E., R.L.A., AICP is the Executive Director and one of the founders of the Low Impact Development (LID) Center, Inc. The LID Center is a non-profit organization that focuses on the research and implementation of innovative and sustainable stormwater strategies and techniques.
