A limited number of rooms have been reserved at a discounted rate of US $209 per night plus taxes through October 23, 2006. Rooms will be reserved until October 23, 2006 or once the block has been filled (whichever comes first). The Stanford Court hotel is only 1 block from the Fairmont.

Getting from the San Francisco International Airport
Shuttle Service: Airport shuttle service is available from the airport to the Fairmont for US$15.00 per person plus tip one way. Only cash is accepted. Once you retrieve your luggage from baggage claim head up the escalator to the upper level. Outside in the center island there will be shuttle vans to take you to the Fairmont. It should take about 45 miutes. Advance reservations are not required and the concierge at the Fairmont can make arrangements for your return trip back to the airport. Cab: A cab costs about US$45.00-$50.00 plus tip each way. It should take about 30-40 minutes in non-rush hour traffic. BART: BART is San Francisco's regional train service. The train will cost US$5.00 one way. After you retrieve your luggage in baggage claim follow the signs to the BART terminal. BART tickets are purchased from machines at the entrance to the BART station. The BART train is about 30 minutes from the San Francisco Airport to the center city. Take the train towards San Francisco to the Powell Street Station. The Fairmont is 8 blocks up hill from the train station. You can either take the cable car up California Street for US$5.00 per person or a taxi to the Fairmont for about US$5.00-$7.00. General Information Dress: Business casual attire (no ties) is appropriate for all conference sessions. Business attire (jacket and tie) is appropriate for the opening reception on Sunday evening and the closing banquet on Wednesday evening. Temperature: The temperature in San Francisco is expected to be in the mid to low 50's F (10 degrees C) during the day and in the 40's F (5 degrees C) in the evenings.
