The Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute Foundation, sister to the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) and the Small Element Paving Technologists (SEPT) invite you to attend the Eighth International Conference on Concrete Block Paving, November 6-8, 2006 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, California, USA. The conference theme 'Sustainable Paving for the Future' speaks to the ability of segmental concrete pavements to address total envrionment design---ecological,energy, safety,and visual design needs for the 21st century. The conference will emphasize stormwater management with permeable interlocking pavements, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and design for the disabled.

Every three years, researchers, consultants, design professionals, contractors--all enthusiasts in segmental concrete pavement--gather from around the world to exchange information in the continuing series of international conferences. Since 1980, the conferences have provides rich technical exchange, as well as design, construction and maintenance technology to advance the worldwide industry of segmental concrete pavement. As its debut in North America, the 2006 conference has been expanded to include technical papers sessions plus one day continuing education sessions for practicing design professionals, and a university professor's workshop. We invite your participation as an industry delegate, design professional, contractor or professor.

This conference is for designers and specifiers of interlocking concrete pavements, permeable interlocking concrete pavements, grid pavements, and concrete paving slabs for residential, commercial, municipal, industrial, port and airport applications.
